Halloween Costume Party at the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor

On Halloween, The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor invites guests of all ages to join the ranks of the undead and enter the event gates wearing their Halloween costumes. Children can participate in the Little Monsters Costume Ball and adults the Dark Harbor Halloween Costume Ball to compete for cash and prizes. The 2013 incarnation of Dark Harbor offers the frightening new maze Circus, terrifying freak shows, a mechanical monster, the RIP lounge and more for the ultimate Halloween experience.

The Little Monsters Costume Ball welcomes children to become a part of the Dark Harbor experience. The children’s ball is from 4-6 p.m. complete with trick-or-treating, a costume contest, magic shows, and face painting with the monsters of Dark Harbor. The Little Monsters costume contest grants pre-registered participants an opportunity to win tickets to The Queen Mary’s CHILL event opening November 22 and up to $200 in cash prizes.

When the moon rises and the Little Monsters Costume Ball comes to a close, the Dark Harbor Halloween Costume Ball ignites. The adult celebration kicks off at 7 p.m. and welcomes pre-registered, costumed guests to filter into the gates and mingle with the monsters. In addition to six mazes, freak shows, dancing, and live entertainment, the event hosts the highly anticipated Dark Harbor Costume Ball costume contest. Guests will compete with elaborate costumes and intricate face paint, with no masks or props. The contest offers cash prizes totaling $1,000 and serves as a centerpiece for the evening festivities. The Halloween bash also welcomes the return of Jewels Long Beach, who will host the final drag show of the Dark Harbor season.

General admission for the Little Monsters Costume Ball is $5 per child and includes complimentary admission for one accompanying adult. General admission for the Dark Harbor Costume Ball is $24 online and $29 at the event. For only $20 online, get your Happy Haunting Hour ticket requiring entry between 7pm and 8pm (while supplies last). Group rates are available. Parties of 8-15 can attend for $18 each, and groups of 16 or more for $15 each. Fast Fright tickets are also available along with VIP packages that include entrance into the RIP Lounge and Fast Fright line priority (while supplies last). Pre-event registration is required for all guests that enter wearing costumes, no masks or props are permitted.

Friday, November 1 welcomes the Dia de los Muertos celebration with DJ Abel spinning live. Saturday, November 2 marks the closing of Dark Harbor with more Dia de los Muertos festivities with DJ Abel and the band Grave Slave Rock performing live for the final night of fright. Costumes without masks or props are welcome to the Dia de los Muertos events.
