Thank you Knott’s Berry Farm for inviting us to attend Knott’s Merry Farm Media Day yesterday. We had a great time getting into the holiday spirit while visiting the park.
Knott’s Merry Farm will be open from November 19, 2016 through January 8, 2017. Once you walk through the gates you will feel like you escaped into a small town country Christmas. You will be able to do some holiday shopping in the Christmas Crafts Village. We saw apron booths, carved wood, blown glass, wood signs and so much more. There is something to be found for everyone on your list.
There are twinkling lights and holiday décor throughout the park to get you in the festive mood. You won’t want to miss the Calico Tree Lighting Ceremony in Calico Park.
Even the rides are festively decorated.
Be sure to stop by Santa’s Christmas Cabin in the Wilderness Dance Hall in Ghost Town to have a special visit with Santa Claus.
Treat yourself to one-of-kind seasonal treats like Santa’s freshly-baked cookies, mouthwatering pastries, exquisite chocolate dipped cheesecake on a stick, seasonal craft beers, gourmet hot chocolate with marshmallows and hot spiced holiday wine, plus much more.
There are so many live performance shows throughout the day, you will have to plan your day carefully to be able to see everything. We enjoyed watching the Calico Saloon Christmas Show in the Christmas Saloon.
- A PEANUTS Guide to Christmas – Camp Snoopy Theatre
- Merry Christmas, Snoopy! Ice Show – Charles M. Schulz Theatre
- Calico Saloon Christmas Show
- A Christmas Carol or The Gift of the Magi – Bird Cage Theatre
- It’s the Merriest Christmas Show Ever, Charlie Brown – Calico Mine Stage
We also made sure to see the Merry Christmas, Snoopy! Ice Show in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre.
We also watched Engine No. 41 depart.
We are already making plans to return soon so that we could see the It’s the Merriest Christmas Show Ever, Charlie Brown, Calico Tree Lighting ceremony and the Snow and Glow in Ghost Town.
Disclosure: We were invited as guests to experience Knott’s Merry Farm Media Day. All opinions are 100% our own. We did enjoy this event so much, we are thinking of purchasing our own annual passport.
