We were invited to attend Knott’s Scary Farm’s opening night Thursday, September 22nd as media guest of the park.
Knott’s Scary Farm is a popular Halloween Haunt event at Knott’s Berry Farm in Southern California. This year they have 12 haunted attractions — including four all-new experiences, which will be open for 24 select nights between September 22 and October 31.
First of all, the evening started for us entering a new scare zone, The Hollow, where the legendary Headless Horseman roams around greeting all those who dare to enter.
Monsters come out through the fog lurking around every corner.
There are 1,000 monsters roaming the park just waiting to make you scream in fright.
The Dead of Winter: Wendigo’s Revenge: Deep in the frozen tundra, the realm of a treacherous snow queen has been usurped by her evil minion, the horrific wendigo.
Trick-or-Treat: Take a brave step forward and ring the witch’s doorbell…trick or treat, which will it be? The Trick or Treat maze takes you through the inside of the Haunt’s iconic Green Witch’s home on Halloween night. You’re the special guest of her deadly dinner party where she and her menacing Tricksters await your arrival.
The Hanging: Finding Gory is a live stage show in a brand new area of the outskirts of Calico Square that looks back at the past year’s pop culture! It is a must see show to find out who they will hang.
Of course, Elvira, the legendary Mistress of the Dark, returns for another year in an all new show, Elvira’s Danse Macabre, featuring dance and comedy performances. Knott’s Scary Farm is the exclusive home of Elvira this Halloween season.
We were surprised to find out that Elvira, the Queen of Halloween, even shared two of our Instagram photos on her official Instagram account!
Nightly showings of Elvira’s Danse Macrabe are scheduled at 9:00pm and 11:30pm in the Charles M. Schulz Theatre.
