While thinking about making plans to see Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful opening today, we started to reminisce about the several times that we were fortunate enough to see Wicked live on stage. We saw it three times at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles and in July of 2010 we took a road trip to see it at the Orpheum Theatre.
It was my first time I have ever stayed in San Francisco. We stayed at The Palace Hotel. The hotel was gorgeous! I was so surprised when walking in from the streets of San Francisco into this beautiful hotel rich in history.
The lobby was stunning!
Isn’t this chandelier gorgeous?
Our room had quaint charm.
While we had time to wait we decided to walk through ChinaTown to the Wharf and had lunch.
We walked through the Musee Mecanique ~ The Mechanical Museum of San Franscisco. This is an absolute must do while walking the boardwalk in San Francisco.
There were mechanical toys well over 100 years old.
After the long walk, we decided we would take the Trolley back to the hotel.
We rode the trolley through the streets of San Francisco.
And we ended our evening with a live performance of Wicked at the Orpheum Theatre.
Amazing pics. Love San Fran. What a terrific city.

So glad to have stumbled on to your blog, ladies! Hello from a fellow Southern Californian 🙂 I love your travels, your pictures and this post. We love and saw Wicked at Pantages and in the OC and just saw OZ yesterday. Lucky you for catching it up there in San Francisco. Thanks for putting The Palace Hotel on to my radar – beautiful hotel.
